History
Rho Beta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on the beautiful and historical
Campus of Savannah State College (now University) by five dynamic and phenomenal women in early November 1950. These women respected the ideals of Sisterly love, Scholarship, Service, and Finer Womanhood. The Chartered members: Elsie Gillard, Myrtle Foy-Munrow, Betty Lopez, Mary Ford, and Hattie Thompson. Soror Ford was crowed Miss Savannah State College 1951.
